Nathan Stifel, PMHNP

Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner

Nathan got his start in the medical field in 2015 at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center, after graduating from the University of Toledo with his BSN. At CCHMC, he worked for 5 years as an RN on a complex surgery floor specializing in liver and kidney transplants, while working there it became apparent to him the value of mental health. He then decided to enroll at Northern Kentucky University to become PMHNP and got a job as a psychiatric crisis Nurse in 2020 to help him be better prepared to practice once he graduated. Nathan believes that while medication and different therapy modalities are crucial to bettering mental stability, that there is not a one-size fits all approach to mental health. He also believes that everyone can give themselves a head start to feeling better by approaching their mental health with a holistic approach via a balanced diet, regular exercise, limiting electronic device use, and surrounding oneself with a few trusted and supportive people. Nathan wants all of his clients to feel involved in the decision making process in their treatment plan as he believes teamwork is crucial to making progress. In Nathan's free time he enjoys spending time with his friends, family, significant other, and his 4 year old german shepherd. He also enjoys watching sports, anime, and playing video games when he has extra time on his hands.
